C&I Technician

My Client who are a leading name in the Energy/Utilities field are currently looking for a C&I Technician to join them.

Role:
An opportunity exists for a highly motivated and safety aware craftsman who has proven skills to join the Maintenance delivery team at the Nottingham Power station where you would be undertaking routine maintenance, repairing defected plant and delivering outage work as efficiently and effectively as possible.

A control and instrumentation craftsman shall have the following attributes:
* Has previous power station experience
* Strong focus and proven personal safety record
* Has the ability to use a variety of test equipment to diagnose faults on control systems & control loops, field based transmitters (pressure, flow, temperature etc) resistance thermometers & thermocouples
* Be able to read and interpret P&ID drawings and design specifications to ensure correct operation of instrumentation systems

Key Skill requirements:
* Technical attributes to undertake fault diagnosis and repairs of level, pressure and temperature transmitters/devices
* Validate control loops through to point of computer interface
* Technical attributes to set up and commission pneumatic control actuators
* Have a thorough understanding of health and safety responsibilities
* Possess the ability to work with minimum supervision as part of a team
