C# DEVELOPER (WPF)

BASED IN TAUNTON
6 MONTH CONTRACT ROLE
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR SC CLEARANCE

C# Developer (WPF) to work as park of the internal development team who have a growing reputation for delivering software projects to time and to cost. They require an experienced C# developer ideally with Agile/Scum experience to work closely with an existing senior developer to develop a brand new product.. The application will be written in WPF using TFS 2012 (Scrum template) as the ALM tool

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

* Involvement in the design of the WPF application to include the use of an appropriate MVVM framework, Unit Testing framework etc
* The design, code, test, correction and documentation of product backlog items
* Configuration of the application in TFS to include code coverage, continuous integration etc.
* Play a full role in Scrum and other project meetings

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* HAVE DEMONSTRABLE WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES:-
o C#
o WPF

* HAVE DEMONSTRABLE WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF THE FOLLOWING:-
o SQL
o Unit Testing (MSTest, NUnit).
o Application Lifecycle Management (TFS or equivalent eg Subversion/JIRA/TeamCity)
o Agile/Scrum

* PLUS A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TECHNOLOGIES AND DESIGN PRINCIPLES:-
o XML
o SQL Server
o SOA
o UML

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Tool/product/platform specific accreditation as appropriate, such as:
* MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist)
* MCPD (Microsoft Certified Professional Developer)

Additional Comments
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo a Basic Security Check, which is at a cost of £25 and which will need to be in place prior to startting in the role (this can take 2 to 3 weeks)
