C ++ Developer/Software Engineer
Directory Information Services is an entity that deals with Directory Assistance (1207 and 1307) and related services. It is a telco-neutral department that handles services in several domains. It evolved successfully from a telephony-based service to prominent presence on the on-line and mobile scene.
As ICT expert, based on your technical expertise, you participate from a programming/engineering point of view in the design and implementation of 24/7 tailor-made ICT solutions. You provide software solutions, inform colleagues and recommend the appropriate technical solution. You develop, maintain and share technical expertise.
The candidate must have deep knowledge and multiple years of proved experience in following domains:
Object Oriented Analysis and implementation in C++ (11) and database integration (Oracle on Linux)
Additional skills:
- Quality programming, robustness, performance, memory management, multithreadsafeness, maintainability, code readability, code re-use, modularity
- Experience with the OCCI
- Optional: python, PHP, Java, bash
The development environment is Linux-based, using Oracle, CodeLite and GIT.
You are fluent in Dutch or French and English (oral and written).
You take initiative and systematically drive for results.
You are able to learn quickly.
