C++ Developer - Server Side, Sybase, MQ, Ultra high Volume/low Latency

For one of our international, financial services clients in Zurich, Swisslinx is urgently seeking a very strong C++ Server Side developer with at least 5 years experience in a high performance environment to work an initial 12-months contract.
In this 12-months contract, you will be working on a large custom distributed in-memory cache database which provides fast access to data from a Legacy system. The cached items are static data used by more than 150 applications which support business processes of FX workflow.
In you role as Server Side Developer, you will be working as part of a small team of strong software engineers, working along the full life cycle, starting with initial analysis, design through to implementation, testing and production support. You will heavily focus on C++ development, but also liaise closely with the Sybase Developers to design solutions for this challenging and global data manipulation project.
In order to be considered for this contract, we are seeking a team-oriented candidate who covers the following requirements:
- Min. 5 years of C++ development experience (POSIX), gained in a high performance, high throughput environment (very low latency and multithreaded)
- Expert in navigating through Sybase databases and implementing database connection; able to read SQL and stored procedures
- MQ Messaging is mandatory
- Solid with Solaris and Linux environments
- Any experience with LDAP, Apache and HTTP/HTTPS is a strong benefit (secure data transfer/data confidentiality, etc.)
- (Experience with additional/dynamic objects, polymorphisms, trait classes, symbols, binary inspections, PROC tools, STL, RAII and others are beneficial.)
- Additional experience with Junity, EasyMock and Design Patters would be good.
- Experience with FX or similar complex IB products is beneficial
- English only
