C# Developer for Test Automation

Technical Profile

- Bachelor's or master degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
- Relevant experience in C#, .NET 3.5 and/or 4.0, VS 2010, SQL Server 2008
- Knowledge of WCF, EF and/or LINQ to SQL and/or CodeSmith would be an asset
- Quality assurance experience would be an asset
- Some successful experience in test automation and a good understanding of the development life cycle of a software product would be an asset
- Knowledge of Telerik components would be an asset

Job description

- Design and develop in C# the tools and test frameworks used for automating the test activity in the team
- Apply appropriate automation technologies to meet the short and long term goals of the QC team.
- Validate the design of the tools with the software development team
- Provide design documentation for the test automation tools
- Contribute to the design of test cases either from the functional specifications (Black Box) or from the source code (White Box)
- Provide planning and reporting for your development projects to the team leader.
- Proactively participate in maintaining team development standards and best practices
- Create user documentation for the tools you developed
- Provide training for the test tools you developed to the team
- Continuously improve the automated tools based on the feedback of the members of the team
- Participate in identifying the tests and services to be automated based on both business priority and quality and performance improvements (ROI)
- Develop according to specified automated library design and coding standards
