C# Developer (.Net, MS SQL, Web development)

Whitehall Resources are currently recruiting for a C# Developer for our client in Switzerland.

Start: Start 2017
Duration: 7-8 months (150 business days)
Location: Geneva
Working hours: 8hour/day

Requested experience (years required):
- Software development - 7years
- Web Development - 5years (preference for Web MVC)
- Web Services - 5years
- Javascript UI frameworks - 3 years
- C# .NET - 7 years
- MS Visual Studio - 5 years
- Database modelling and MS SQL Server (2008 or later) programming experience - 5 years
- Working experience with designing and optimizing relational database models - 5 years
- Working experience building .NET web services - ASMX, WCF or Web API

The Scope:
1. Design and build the time series database system
2. Build a user-friendly and flexible online data retrieval tool for time series selection, data viewing and download into various output formats
3. Develop data loading procedures to extract, transform and load (ETL) the data from the pre-processed data stores into the dissemination database. Pre-processing includes the calculation of derived data like shares, growth rates, indexes etc. The data loading procedures will perform simple validations such as consistency checks, overall record count, and record the user making the change.
4. Out of scope: Graphical user interface for loading of pre-processed data.
