C/C++ Senior Software Engineer

My globally recognised client is looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join an enterprise Embedded software development team on a greenfield project with an initial year-long contract (extensions likely) in their offices in Eindhoven (Netherlands).

The responsibility of the Senior Software Developer will be to assist with the creation of highly accurate and essential electronics/manufacturing products. The Senior Software Developer will be following an Agile methodology and familiarity with eXtreme programming is a major plus.

The Software Engineer will have comprehensive knowledge of C++ and C programming language and must be able to work within a multi-site environment.

This is an opportunity to work with developers in a large global company, with the possibility of some travel internationally.

Requirements:

- Experience with C++ and C programming language
- Experience with various build and test tools
- You enjoy working in cross-functional teams
- Inspiring and supporting your engineering team
- Experience with various build and test tools
- Experience in (networked) prototype or product development
- Strong skills with various build and test tools.

Responsibilities include:

- The design, realisation, integration, and test of (Embedded) systems or subsystems
- Providing input in the planning process to the project leader.
- Determining the correct documentation for the developed software.
- Leading improvement initiatives regarding technological improvements and performs future-oriented studies with other specialists
- Adapting yourself and your team to an ever-changing world.

A background in Health care/Manufacturing/Electronics is highly advantageous although not strictly essential. Strong technical skills in Embedded C and C++ Software development will ideally also be complemented with effective communication skills.
