C# and .NET Developer (Trading)

On behalf of our client, one of the most prestigious financial institutions, we are looking for a C# AND .NET DEVELOPER For this position based in Zürich, our client is looking for an English-speaking candidate, who is available as soon as possible.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working independently and as part of a small team in an agile environment, under the guidance of the tech lead
- Developing components on a Microsoft 3-tier architecture system, with particular focus on the UI tier
- Enhancing existing functionalities and designing/implementing new features following coding best practices
- Taking part in extending the testing framework and maintaining/improving unit tests
- Understanding the business specifications, converting requirements into technical solutions
- Supporting the Production Environment and the end-users
ESSENTIALS SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- + 7 years of development experience with strong skills in .NET C# 4.5 or above, LINQ, multi-threading
- Previous experience in the Finance/Insurance industries (ideally within Trading/Portfolio Management)
- Strong experience with WPF/MVVM pattern (candidates with extensive Silverlight knowledge could also be considered)
- Good DB design and SQL knowledge including SQL Server 2008 or above
- Experience designing UI from a usability/user interaction point of view
- Good knowledge of Web technologies: Asp.NET MVC & Web Api, JavaScript (jQuery, angular, knockout)
- Requirements engineering/Business Analysis skills
- Good oral/written communication, positive and proactive team attitude
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills, flexible on moving targets
- Good spoken and written English (German is an advantage)
