C ALGORITHM IMPLEMENTATION ENGINEER
My client, a leader in the medical devices field is looking to hire an innovative C ALGORITHM IMPLEMENTATION ENGINEER to work on implementing their latest signal processing algorithms. This exciting role will give you the opportunity to work on a ground breaking new product, and work alongside experienced and talented algorithm, software and hardware teams. You will have the opportunity to impact and define the development of new innovative technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implementation of signal processing algorithms in C - typically modelled using Matlab
- Verification and validation of C implementations
- Maintaining a core library of C algorithms common for Embedded and PC deployment
- Customising the code base for new customers
- Build manager
- Optimization for CPU and RAM constraints
- Working within our software development environment
- Adopting ResMed's coding and software development methodologies
- Adopting our source control procedures
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A passionate, self-motivated, flexible and adaptive individual
- Willing to work on cross functional teams, eg, algorithm, mobile, systems, hardware and marketing teams
- Relevant degree qualification in electronic engineering, computer science, or related field
- Maintain standards of accuracy and attention to detail
- 2+ years commercial software experience
- Proficient in the C programming language
- Demonstrated ability to implement and test C algorithms
- Experience using debugging and profiling tools
- Experience in Digital Signal Processing
- Strong focus on project outcomes
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly to a dynamic environment
- Able to work independently and to deliver deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience of working in a structured software environment (eg, source control, ISO 9001 quality standards, JIRA, CUnit)
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in C++, Scripting, RTOS
- Experience in fixed point arithmetic implementation
- Experience using the Matlab development tool
- Experience of small highly focused teams
- Experience in commercialisation of software
- Experience integrating C code into mobile apps (eg iOS and Android)
- Experience working in an Agile environment
