C# .NET DEVELOPER/JAVASCRIPT/WEB SERVICES/DATABASE MODELLING/MS SQL SERVER

Our client wishes to recruit one consultant developer with experience in Web Development, Web Services, Javascript UI frameworks, C# .NET, Database modelling and MS SQL Server programming experience Time Series Database.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Professional experience in Software Development (minimum 7 years)
Working experience in C# Development using MS Visual Studi with enfasis on .NET version 4 and later (minimum 5 years)
Working experience of .NET web development, preferably in Web MVC (minimum 5 years)
Working experience building .NET Web Services - ASMX, WCF or Web API (minimum 3 years)
Working experience with JavaScript UI frameworks (minimum 3 years)
Working experience with Transact SQL and application development using stroed procedures in MS SQL Server 2008 or later (minimum 5 years)
Working experience with designing and optimising relational database models (minimum 5 years)

ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE:
Working experience with database modelling for the purposes of Data Warehousing and/or BI. Familiarity with concepts of OLAP and DB Star Schema.
Working experience in the implementation of data ETL procedures.

DELIVERABLES:

1.MS SQL Server database containing the pre-calculated indicators, to facilitate the reporting on several pre-defined dimensions:
a) Indicator;
b) Country;
c) Partner;
d) Period (Frequency);
e) Year;
f) Unit of measure;
g) Product category.

2.Public web user interface:
a) Flexible panels allowing the selection of the above dimensions;
b) Selectors are dynamically adjusted to only allow the selection based on data availability;
c) Switching between two views, one by country and one by indicator;
d) Support for multiple data output formats (CSV, EXCEL, XML, JSON) available for download;
e) Allow for bulk download of data sets.

3.Data loading and verification:
a) Procedures to extract, transform and load the data from databases hosting the pre-processed data sets;
b) Procedures to perform consistency checks and validation of the loaded data - for example a count of records to be removed vs records to be inserted;
c) Pre-staging and staging to allow for comparing new data with existing data sets or data sets about to be replaced.

4. Loading of the production data for the following data sets:
a) World Tariff Profiles (WTP) indicators;
b) Market access indicators from IDB, CTS and Tariff Download Facility (TDF);
c) NTM/Notifications related indicators from ITIP-Goods;
d) Web SDB data sets on annual merchandise and services trade statistics;
e) Short-term merchandise and services trade statistics - monthly and quarterly.

5.Technical documentation containing:
a) Architecture overview
b) Technologies, libraries, third-party tools
c) Interfaces to other systems or databases
d) Support details for development and production environments: source control, Servers, users and authentication, deployment, database replication, SQL Server jobs, Windows tasks if applicable
e) Troubleshooting guide
