The .NET/Flex Developer should specialize in .NET and Flex Development. This individual should have experience in the development, maintenance, and testing of software programs. Responsibilities include coding, testing, and debugging application programs from functional specifications. These individuals will work from program specifications or prototypes, under the direction of a team leader, senior technical person or analyst. Essential: * Higher level academic technical qualifications: e.g., Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent. * 3-5 years working experience in developing large-scale (NET/C#, Flex, Silverlight) applications. * In depth/design-level knowledge of a relational database (MSSQL, Oracle preferred). * Working knowledge of Windows operating systems. * Sound knowledge of approved development and testing methodologies and a clear understanding of the Software Development Life-Cycle. * Strong analytical, problem solving skills and attention to details. * Self motivated and ability to work independently or in a group setting. * A pro-active and driven analyst with excellent communication and presentation skills. Desirable: It would also be beneficial for the candidate to have the following experience/knowledge: * Has experience developing large-scale platforms/tools in .NET/C#, Flex. * Experience working in a global team setting. * Fundamental understanding of the Finance (budgeting/forecasting/reporting) process. * Experience of working in an investment banking environment or exchange business. * Experience in developing/testing 3rd party applications and interfaces, and liaising with 3rd party software vendors.
