BW BO Release Manager with Transportation Management Experience

Next Ventures is urgently looking for a BW BO Release Manager with Transportation Management experience for a role based in Lisbon.

Responsibilities:

- Manage all aspects of the end to end release process including the delivery of  Release Notes
- In close coordination with the Service Managers (for maintenance scope) and Project Managers (for project scope),  plan releases (calendars, content, frozen periods)
- Define standards and work practices related to the release, test and configuration management  (traceability, versions consistency and production deliveries)
- Define & execute emergency processes for deliveries into production with a high level of priority
- Organize functional reviews and approvals of each releases content
- Ensure formal budget approvals before any production delivery
- Guarantee the updates and maintenance of release management documentation
- Inform the Service Managers of risks and issues that may impact the release schedule or quality, and provide management reports on release progress
- Comply with the Internal Financial Controls ensuring the Quality of the delivery
- Coordenate and lead the fourtnigtly Change Board making sure that consumptions riscks are controlled and highlited

Skills required:

- Understending of SAP ECC/BW/BO framework and transport management (minimum 5 years)
- Reporting: ability to prepare a Management presentation for the scope of activity
- Ability to coordinate teams, lead meetings, assign and follow tasks to be performed
- Experience in complex cross-system environments
- Excelent communication skills
- Ability to take the ownership of problems and issues and manage to resolution
- Ability to worl effectively with different countries and nationalities

good to have:

- Project management skills
- Testing ability: to set-up Testing practices and  identify improvement actions
- Experience and knowledge of Solution Manager and Charm
- Understanding Insurance/Accounting principles

Start date: 3rd Feb 2014

Location: Lisbon with some travel to other EU destinations
Duration: 5 months + 6 month extensions
