Buyer - Order Placement - Supplier Performance - Delivery

Our client, a global defence and aerospace company, is looking for a Buyer for a 6 month contract to be based in CHESHAM.

Key Duties

Operational Buyer responsible for designated commodity groups and full Cradle to grave buying responsibilities - order placement, price/supplier performance management/on-time delivery.
Operational procurement
Reviewing daily MRP order action requirements to support production build requirements
Full ownership & management of a portfolio of suppliers for a designated commodity group
Cradle to grave buying responsibilities - purchasing through to on-time delivery
Maintaining purchase price and cost reduction

Required Skills:

Experience in procurement of a variety commodities, which may include electronics, connectors, power suppliers, cable assemblies, sheet metalwork, aluminium machining and castings.
Working with MRP systems
Experience working for electronic manufacturing organisations
Supplier Management
Expediting
Proficient in Excel
