Buyer/Contracts and Procurement/Manchester

Our client a global oil and gas organisation is looking for a well rounded Contracting & Procurement Buyer for an initial 12 Months contract period in Manchester.

Staff in this position will deliver substantial value to client Businesses and Functions by: Contracting and procuring goods/services. Developing and managing regional and global leveraged agreements. Applying leading edge supply chain management techniques. Applying supply/value chain analyses and modelling. Scoping work, and analysing CP business requirements and external market dynamics. Developing and executing commercial contract strategies as well as operationalsing and commercially managing executed agreements. Execute Group Contract Management process for assigned contracts. Ensuring all commercial activity is fully aligned with the Global Category Management commercial strategies and Group Category Management and Contracting & Procurement (CMCP) process.

Desired:

Professional Contracting & Procurement background with minimum 5 years commercial experience. Prior Contract/Tender Board experience, and a degree or CP Professional Certification is preferred. At a minimum, the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the Group CMCP process and commercial contract management techniques.
