BUYER CONSTRUCTION

Tangent are currently looking for a Buyer with a Construction background to work for our client, a large infrastructure organisation, based in Redhill, Surrey.

This is a 2 month contract initially, looking for someone to start ASAP.

Day to day you will operate autonomously with minimal supervision and perform a range of duties from:

- Preparation of request for proposals and quotations
- Evaluation and conditioning of supplier responses
- Carrying out supplier evaluations and commercial checks for suppliers and past performance
- Conducting negotiations to enable the short-listing of suppliers
- Make shortlist recommendations to the Procurement Manager and project team, highlighting distinguishing factors between suppliers and the rationale behind recommendations
- Conducting final negotiations with selected suppliers in order to enable the preparation of contracts/orders and compliance with procurement governance

Ideally educated to degree standard and/or MCIPS qualification is desirable

Rates around £300 per day based on experience
