Indirect Purchasing

Location: Gloucester
Contract: 8-12 months- Immediate or short notice availability preferred

The Company:
A leading aerospace/defence client, specialising in the design, development and manufacture of high integrity systems and components.

The Role:
The Buyer will be responsible for conducting purchasing activity across a number of Indirect categories. Utilising their strong, hands-on buying background the Buyer will be managing the request for quotation (RFQ) processes and liaising directly with suppliers in order to negotiate cost effective purchasing solutions. The Buyer must possess an excellent interrogative knowledge of SAP and be comfortable in raising, processing and expediting purchase orders.

The Buyer must be confident working is a busy buying department where they will be challenged to participate in buying activity across a number of categories. CIPS qualifications of training are advantageous, but not essential. A strong knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel is required.
