BUYER - MCIPS, SUPPLY CHAIN, END TO END BUSINESS PROCESSES

A Buyer with MCIPS, Supply Chain, End to End business processes skills/experience is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Cumbria.

OVERVIEW OF THE BUYER CONTRACT ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining procedures, systems and processes. Setting strategies, plans & personal objectives. Managing opportunities & risks. Adopting tools & techniques that ensure delivery of common businessensuring requirements are delivered to plan.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE BUYER

- MCIPS qualified (or training for) or equivalent relevant professional qualification
- Sound knowledge of Supply Chain end to end business processes and how procurement interfaces with the rest of the business.
- Able to align procurement strategies, plans, processes and personal objectives to common business and functional objectives.
- Positive contributor for practising Procurement theory and principles.

The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District
