Buyer

Buyer required for a world leading Oil and Gas company based out of Montrose for a 9 month initial contract. Candidate will be assisting in the procurement activates for steel forging, piping parts and other equipment for Machinery in the Oil and Gas sector.

Roles and responsibilities

* Procurement activities for steel forging and piping parts

* Negotiate PO prices and terms that meet or exceed targets on costs, as per company's procurement requirements.

* Add and maintain item sourcing data parameters within ERP systems

* Update documents showing status of PO placement, acknowledgement, shipment, tracking information etc.

* Participate in project team meetings

* Report parts delivery status to manager

* Expediting Purchase orders for placements and drive on time delivery

* RFQ activities for ITO purposes

* Processing purchase orders and driving on time delivery

Essential skills and competencies

* ERP/SAP System experience

* 3 years buying experience

* Experience within Engineering or manufacturing environment

Desirable Skills and Competencies

* Subsea knowledge/experience

* Oil and Gas experience

* Experience of dealing with high volume low value parts

* Technical and/or project experience
