Obtaining and summarizing bid documents received from Engineers

- Checks with Category Leads to confirm the bidders list is acceptable and makes changes as required
- Sets up a spreadsheet for bidders to submit their bids in a required format
- Sets up the bid event in Ariba Souring Pro
- Sends out the bid documents in Ariba Sourcing pro to 3 or more bidders
- Answers questions from the bidders and puts the questions back on Ariba Sourcing Pro for all bidders to see along with answers provided by engineers
- Summarizes the results from the bidders when the bid is closed
- Sends bid summary to the Engineer and category lead outlining the results and the proper course of action
- Sends out monthly metrics
- Inputs cost avoidance data
- Files Contracts and Bid waivers in Emptoris

SKILLS:

- Procurement background required in non-commodities
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Organized/Ability to handle concurrent projects
- Efficient/Ability to turn around bids in a timely manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Strong communication skills - Written and Verbal
- Ability to learn new systems (Ariba Sourcing Pro), and suggest streamlining options
- High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required (Excel pivot tables, data analysis and reports)
- Ability to work within a team setting/strong interpersonal skills. Will need to interact with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
