- Procures indirect supplies and/or services from vendors at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.
- Studies market trends, interviews vendors and recommends sources of supply.
- Analyzes quotations received, selects or recommends suppliers and schedules deliveries.
- May handle issue resolutions between the Company shopper and the vendor.
- Calculates and verifies productivity savings and reports saving within the productivity tracking tool.
- Develops and maintains necessary records and reports.
SKILLS
- Prefer someone with some prior Buying experience in the area of indirect materials, supplies or services.
- Must be a self starter and have excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to interact with outside vendors and internal Engineering and Procurement stakeholders.
