Buyer

Buyer needed in South Houston for a full-line distributor of top-grade inorganic and organic products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Sourcing and executing the procurement activity. Bulk tank management - telemetry review and sourcing
- Responsible for the quality on-time delivery and total cost of ownership for assigned commodities with intention of maximizing total value. Product sourcing for inventory and non-inventory items to meet production plan. New product sourcing as approve by Director of Sales.
- Capability to resolve defective materials by assisting QA Manager. MRP Management: Manager min/max for SKU replenishment
- Third party direct shipment coordinator from order to cash (calling in order, securing freight for customer delivery, providing final paperwork to billing)
- Manage appropriate inventory levels to support sales force and order placement with suppliers for chemicals/related raw-materials buy plan.

REQUIREMENTS

- 3+ years experience in purchasing or materials management
- Strong logistics background needed
- GED or High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
