Projektbeschreibung
Core Job Responsibilities:
* Plan and purchase materials from approved suppliers
* Maintain inventory levels, delivery schedules and cost structures that meet company guidelines while ensuring the organization's ability to meet customer requirements.
* Perform scheduling, parts planning, and ordering supplies as well as dealing with vendors and looking at and setting up cost reduction programs.
* Work directly with suppliers in efforts related to price/contract negotiations, communications and overall supplier performance.
* Maintain, analyze and report on key supply chain metrics and make recommendations related to supplier performance.
* Able to refine the purchasing program for the company and set up processes.
* Plans, conducts and supervises complex assignments including outsourced manufacturing.
* Resolves purchasing problems between department(s) and vendor
Other Responsibilities:
* Understand the job specific quality system procedures and processes as defined in the Training Matrix and adhere to the requirements listed in those documents. If any of the procedure or process requirements are unclear or ambiguous, it is the responsibility of the employee to notify his/her supervisor or Quality Assurance
* Maintain corporate confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures commensurate with experience level.
* Previous experience in medical device manufacturing and familiarity with a start-up environment desired.
* Intermediate computer skills utilizing an Enterprise Requirements Software system (i.e. SAP, QAD, Oracle), Microsoft Office preferred.
* Purchasing or APICS certification a plus.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate timelines, delays, etc. timely and effectively.
* Demonstrable skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
