My client is a Public Sector Organisation

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To run a number of procurement activities across Hanover ensuring value for money, efficiency and good procurement becomes Embedded. To manage a number of corporate contracts, it will be your responsibility to ensure the procurement activity delivers value for money in accordance with the terms of the agreements. You will have knowledge of EU procurement law with experience of developing tenders and running procurement projects.

As part of this role you will need to be able to work on a number of projects at the same time and deliver to agreed deadlines. Utilise supplier and spend data to identify procurement opportunities. Achieve and track financial savings through procurement activity in line with Hanover budgets and targets. To provide procurement advice and guidance in all commercial issues to Staff. You will have good interpersonal skills, be able to work as part of a team across all levels of the organisation.

Tasks:
o Act as business to business support in contract and supplier management, supporting in the delivery of innovation and ensure we get continuous improvement from existing relationships.
o Lead contract management meetings, leading on all actions from the meetings.
o Amend contract documents as required.
o Produce data and value analysis on contract performance
o To commercially manage a number of contracts utilise supplier spend and performance data to identify procurement opportunities.
o Link with departments on the cost and benefits from contracts in line with Hanover budgets and targets.
o Implement Management information reports and KPIs with contractors.
o Full administration on EU tenders across a number of commodities.
o Run a number of tenders for various goods and services
o Lead on the implementation of the eTendering system and roll out to staff, delivering training and acting as the main contact for on-going support.
o Deliver procurement training to a number of internal staff.
o Review a number of the procurement standard documents and policies in line with the latest legislation.
o To undertake any other duties in line with the general level of responsibility of the post.

SKILLS REQUIRED
Skills:
o Good business planning skills and financially literate
o Robust individual with out-going personality, flexibility and positive attitude
o Pro-active, forward looking, with high standards of probity and ethical procurement
o Ability to meet deadlines
o Ability to work independently managing multiple projects over multiple sites
o Demonstrable capability of achieving cost savings through procurement activity and the delivery of sustainable benefits Computer literate (Word & Excel) to Intermediate level

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Detailed knowledge of the public sector procurement, including legislation and contract management. Full driving licence
