Buyer

Contract BUYER opportunity at a highly regarded firm at locations in Mayfield, OH, Milwaukee, WI and Cleveland, OH metros. Projected 6-month assignment. Local candidates. Prefer SAP and Six Sigma experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in purchasing raw materials, tools, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies, ensuring the meeting of quality, delivery, and specification requirements at the lowest possible cost
- Source new suppliers, negotiate prices, analyze trends, expedite orders when necessary, and approve payments
- Assist in the analysis of vendor operations to determine factors that affect prices, and determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and schedule requirements

REQUIREMENTS

- BS /BA Degree or strong compensating experience including 'a plus' skills listed below
- A PLUS to have (a) SAP knowledge and experience and (b) Lean Six Sigma certification
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
