The job is situated within the team "Fiber Optics & Job Management solutions". This team is responsible for the interface between ITS the internal IT department and (the department that plans, builds and maintains the network infrastructure) for the IT tools used within the rollout and documentation of the optical fiber network. The (customer operations, also responsible for connecting individual customers) is also an important user of some of these tools.
Job description:
As a member of the "Fiber Optics & Job Management" solutions team, you play a key role in the interaction between the end users of the various applications and the IT department. .
You will also be involved in all projects and process improvements that can have an impact on the application (s) you work with. As an expert you work directly with all business initiators and IT analysts to evaluate the proposals and if necessary, question them.
Your responsibilities:
You are the first point of contact for the internal key users in case of questions about the operation, possible bugs etc. For them you become the specialist for the operation of these tools.
You organise and give training to new end users, as well as workshops for advanced students.
You take the lead and initiative in translating the business needs into new requirements.
You thoroughly validate the detailed application specifications. You draw up test scenarios, you organise the user tests and also actively participate in it. You follow up the life cycle of detected bugs (clarification, solution, delivery, retest).
You may also play an important role on the user side for migrating the graphical documentation of part of the public transport network from the old GIS system to the new one.
Required profile:
You are prepared to delve thoroughly into the operation of and interaction between the various applications that are used or play a role in the context of fiber optic documentation and FTT-X rollout (NIMS, IFH, Betty, GDA, ISIS, ITR
You have an analytical but solution-oriented approach.
You can easily bridge the gap between end users and IT experts
You have the capacity to quickly gain insight into the organisational structure, processes and applications related to the construction process of infrastructure on the public domain.
You have a basic knowledge of IT concepts and tools.
You express yourself fluently in English, Dutch and French
