Business Systems Analyst Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST to join our client in the Greenwood Village, Colorado area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- This position is responsible for the transfer of data from a Legacy manual process for contracts management and purchase orders into a new software system.
- Works with the designers/developers to review how the system solution is derived and constructed. Identify Legacy software information to be mass uploaded into new software using Excel files. Understand software requirements and structure of fields in Excel file used to upload and ensure it is correct to reduce errors during upload. Following the Legacy upload, the business analyst is also involved in system testing.
- The analyst would collaborate with the impacted business users to define and implement changes to the business process which may or may not result from technology changes.
- Responsible for identifying and resolving design issues during multiple stages in the project and making sure how the business requirements are to be met.
- Responsible for providing oversight on projects as relates to making sure that the business requirements are met per business need.
- Once data transfer is complete, business analyst next task will be to work with end users on system implementation with successful testing of business scenarios.
- Actively coordinate with Business users and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to analyze business needs, gather and document business and system requirements.
- Assist in design, program and implement software application packages customized to meet specific company needs.
- Activate end users on use of software applications and computer systems developed; provide troubleshooting and debugging support.
- Testing and implementing the system to provide analytical support to monitor operation of assigned application system. Required to support the project team by participating in enhancements and develop accurate documentation that complies with the company standards.
- Assist as part of the team to resolve technical problems requiring good judgment and creativity in developing solutions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

- Position requires proficiency with Excel, knowledge of data analysis methodology, use of presentation software, strong communication skills, and a strong commitment to and affinity for delivering the highest level of integrity to data transferred from Legacy system.
- Experience with the Ariba Procure to Pay (P2P) application and/or Ariba Contracts Compliance would be a major plus.
- Logical and analytical with knowledge of business processes.
- Elicits, documents, prioritizes and manages business requirements.
- Keeps well-organized, documented, and maintained data files.
- Ability to upload error free data into new system.
- Assists in the post implementation analysis including verification of ROI.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- High level understanding of technologies which support the business process.
- Participates in system testing.
- Ability to translate the business requirements into a "how" solution in the system.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues received from end users.
- In depth knowledge of supported technologies and systems.
