DESCRIPTION:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Uses business and technical knowledge to participate in the re-engineering of business operations to improve business results. Evaluates business requirements and models data and/or system requirements. Analyzes and documents business problems or should be of moderate complexity. Develops test plans and tests and approves new system behaviors. Coordinates upgrades and rollouts of moderate scope.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Under moderate supervision, evaluates business requirements; performs process analysis of customer activities to determine alternative business solutions or process improvement opportunities. Develops and maintains comprehensive documentation of business requirements.
2. Analyzes and documents business problems of moderate complexity and provides recommendations based on research of industry trends, business products, competitors and performance analysis for optimal business solutions.
3. Develops test plans and tests and approves new system behaviors to ensure alignment with business objectives and test plans.
4. Coordinates upgrades and rollouts of moderate scope including specific duties related to training and monitoring performance.
5. Contributes to the development of project plans; assigns and monitors tasks. Analyzes feasibility, cost ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential programs.
6. Depicts moderately complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; contributes to education within SBU/department(s) on business vision and plan and within business units on the impact of change.
7. Creates and implements business operation standards and procedures. Assists in the development of methods and tools to track and measure results.
8. Consults on moderately complex business issues.
9. Works with other departments to coordinate interdepartmental activities in order to ensure that Liberty meets customer expectations. Assists in problem resolution as needed to ensure that internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient service in accordance with company policies.
10. Assists in the preparation of user documents and training materials. May provide technical training and user support to business groups. Assists in the development of communication plans and related activities.
11. Assist in communications with customers both internal and external, eg vendors, business partners and Information Technology.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2-5 years business or business analysis or IT experience in Insurance
- Ideally have 3-5 years Commercial P financial analysis and planning; business value analysis; business process design would be an asset
- Negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills
- Log all changes and initiate Change Management process by communicating the information to the Project Manager.
- Review all documentation from the QA Lead and provide input.
- Provide guidance in test strategy, test planning and ensuring function tests are comprehensive.
- Answer questions regarding test outcomes and help in interpreting test results.
- Negotiate with users to determine Must-have changes and Do-later changes.
- Answer all questions in a timely manner. If needed, contact other resources to get the answer.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills
- Experience Sharepoint, Excel pivot tables, Visio, SDLC, writing uses cases, process flows, MS Project, SQL queries, SSIS, Crystal Reports, RUP, UML, Web-based technology and architecture, GENIUS, SAP, IBC Regulatory Reporting and/or Claims would be an asset.
