4 - 6 years of experience Troubleshoots complex problems. Designs implements technical solutions. Develops block diagrams and logic flow charts. Translates detailed design into computer software. Supports testing, debugging, and refining the software to produce the required product. Helps prepare both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. This is highly responsible work creating, maintaining and maturing applications and interfaces using applications. Will be responsible for creation of concept, design, testing and maintenance of customizations and interfaces to such applications. Will meet frequently with staff before and during project, to ascertain requirements, and also afterwards to train staff in the proper maintenance and proper use of new features. Requires training on and prior work experience with the relevant third party application modules.

Creates documentation to support the design of project initiatives or production support efforts. 
Create and coordinate Service Requests and Request for Change 
Demonstrated communication skills with a variety of technical, clinical and management skills. 
Demonstrated documentation skills such as physical design, implementation planning and support/admin guides. 
Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Cobol, MS SQL, T-SQL, XML or Java. 
Working knowledge of the following platforms: Client Server, Middleware and Mainframe. 
Strong analytical ability and interpersonal skills to communicate with clients, other IT staff and vendors. 
Conduct non-routine maintenance activities. 
Mentor and guide lower-level teammates. 
Demonstrated ability to pursue solutions to defects. 
Provide input to estimate requirements for project plans. 

Basic Qualifications: 
Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 4 years of equivalent work experience. 
A minimum of 4 years of experience in development of new programs/applications or maintaining and/or supporting existing programs/systems. 
Four (4) plus years of large-scale software package implementation/configuration/installation and systems integration experience is required 
Experience: 4+ years of technical experience in a fast paced, Information Technology Department consisting of a combination of staff and contractors. 
Experience with project work, demonstrating teamwork with a common goal. 
Experience with production support, demonstrating diagnosis and solution work in an independent environment. 
Experience with personal computers, particularly with database, spreadsheet, and/or word processing software. 
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office products and networking concepts. 
Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices and standards.
Broad application of principles, theories and concepts in information technology and programming, plus working knowledge of other related fields. 

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES 
The candidate must possess strong critical thinking and detailed analytical/problem solving skills and have a demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative analyses. 
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, results oriented and strong consulting skills are essential. 
Proficiency in customer & client relations including team focus, influence, partnership and collaboration required. 
Being a self starter and able to work with minimum guidance/supervision are a must. 
Ability to influences others regarding existing concepts, processes and/or methodology. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
Certification or experience with other Epic applications and/or background in healthcare applications are a plus. 
Working knowledge of HL7 interfaces and DB2 database applications. 
Working knowledge of Active Directory and Security Engagement practices.
