Business Systems Analyst

DESCRIPTION:

- Responsible for performing processes necessary to facilitate commission payouts.
- That includes reporting, data loads and other production processes using advanced SQL and user interfaces.
- They are responsible for the analysis, impact assessment and resolution of commission systems issues.
- The Commissions BSA plays an active liaison role between internal business partners, development, and testing.
- They provide ongoing production support to users in the area of automated systems.
- They may lead cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues and opportunities.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Set up new business rules, validate components and troubleshoot commission system issues.
- Support production of the monthly commission processes.
- Evaluate new compensation components to determine the proper business rules to apply.
- Create, review and/or approve business and design requirements.
- Reviews all project documentation to ensure requirements are being met.
- Use analytical skills to review business processes and make recommendations for improving accuracy.
- Gather, analyze and document business requirements.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for the Commissions systems and processes.
- Create process documentation and hold training sessions to facilitate the launch of new functionality and/or processes.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3 years of experience using SQL
- Must be able to effectively manage time, prioritize work and multi-task
- Work in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have demonstrated ability to take ownership of issues, initiate actions, and make effective decisions.
- MS Office Tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint )
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work history

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- 3-5 years experience in software development, software design or business process design and implementation preferred
- 3-5 years experience in telecommunications industry preferred
- 3-5 years experience with a formal SDLC preferred
