BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST FOSTER CITY, CA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

SKILLS: 5-7 years of experience in a BCM/ITDR environment. Must be able to articulate Business Continuity concepts with ease. Demonstrated proficiency in LDRPS and Microsoft Office tools. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. CBCP/BCI certification preferred

Following established Business Continuity Planning methodology and industry standards, the Business Continuity Analyst assists in developing and administering the client s Business Continuity Management program to ensure critical business functions and processes can be recovered in the event of a disaster.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assisting in developing annual program cycle and calendar according to approved program requirements
- Executing the business continuity management program for assigned business units based on annual program requirements, including performing business impact assessments (BIA), overseeing business continuity plan (BCP) development, and planning, conducting and evaluating BCP tests
- Leading the BIA interview and process with assigned business units to determine the criticality of their business processes and document
- Conducting a gap analysis between critical business process RTOs and system RTOs to ensure alignment
- Validating the results of the BIA with the plan owner and executive including risk identification and gaps
- Facilitating the development of a BCP for each business unit, covering all assets necessary for recovery
- Acting as a consultant to business functions/plans assigned to help develop appropriate recovery strategies using industry standard options
- Planning and executing BCP exercises with critical recovery staff including creating test scripts and reviewing with business unit management/plan owners
- Monitoring BCP tests and evaluating test results for reporting to management
- Record and track action items related to plan updates through resolution in department SharePoint site
- Supporting all compliance and regulatory reporting requirements as necessary
- Acting as the BCM liaison for a specific office location or market area including representation on Crisis Management teams
- Participating in crisis management exercises for offices/plans assigned
- Providing a coordination and escalation point for the managers located in the assigned office/market
- Championing BCM awareness throughout the enterprise and assigned business units
- Monitoring and tracking program effectiveness using dashboards and metrics for management awareness of BCM program state of readiness
- Understanding the potential impact of relevant laws, industry regulations and government code
- Understand the types of audits that the organization is subject to and collaborate with audit and other departments to maintain currency of information and adhere to compliance requirement
- Position will require some travel and off-hour, on-call support (on an as needed basis)

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors Degree
- 5-7 years of experience in a BCM/ITDR environment
- Must be able to articulate Business Continuity concepts with ease
- Demonstrated proficiency in LDRPS
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
- Must possess a strong track record of collaboration and teamwork beyond direct-line reporting to ensure efficient relationship with ITDR and CM teams as well as business unit staff across the enterprise
- Significant knowledge of and experience with current industry standards
- Must be able to work in fast-paced, rapidly changing, and high pressured environment
- Highly developed problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to effectively communicate to various levels of management and staff across the enterprise
- High level of personal initiative, creativity and self-motivation
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and indirect influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence of individuals at various organizational levels
- CBCP/BCI certification preferred
