Business Systems Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
- Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
- Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager.

SKILLS

Good communication, facilitation and documentation skills are required. May require an associate's degree in a related area and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with relational database concepts and Client Server concepts. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Familiarity with writing and executing SQL queries is preferred. Experience with gas and electric utility metering and billing systems is preferred. Utility and/or smart grid experience is a bonus.
Data Analysis and SQL experience is required. The candidate will be responsible for system queries.
