BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST
6 MONTHS DAILY RATE CONTRACT
Our client, an international financial services firm is recruiting a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to work on a global project. A deep understanding of Mainframe operating systems is a critical requirement and the ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate their experience through recent projects within the financial services industry.
The BSA's role is to communicate and liaise with business users, identify their requirements and remodel those requirements into system specifications. Fluent English & outstanding communication skills are required.
BSA WITH MAINFRAME EXPERIENCE - TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Very technical role, would need a min of 5yrs+ progressive experience in Mainframe
- TSO, ISPF, Cobol, DB2, SQL Server, VSAM, IBM Utilities
You will be working on an array of projects within Life insurance space and annuities/pensions space. Ideally if you have experience in Life and/or pensions your application will be considered favourably however our client will consider BSAs from a financial services background provided you have strong technical skills - particularly in Mainframe environment.
The types of products you will be working with are Universal Life and Variable Universal Life.
Another strong requirement is experience with calculations - with Tax & Compliance calculations in particular - however they don't require you to be able to rhyme the calculation off the top of you, just have a deep understanding of the logic behind it, how the process works including the variables in the system.
