BUSINESS SYSTEM ANALYST
Our client based in Waterford is currently on the lookout for a Business System Analyst for a contract position. The Business Systems Analyst facilitates the coordination of technical projects by acting as project coordinator and acting as a liaison between the user community and the Systems group. Conducts needs analyses, writes business specifications and is involved in system design and selection, resulting in increased productivity and reduced processing costs.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Performs a liaison role between specified user areas to assist in the identification of process improvements, system design, testing and implementation of large and/or complex technical projects.
- Identifies alternative solutions to user problems and makes recommendations
- Analyzes and defines user requirements and translate them into system requirements
- Develops test and implementation plans and coordinates testing of system enhancements and projects with the user area.
- Assists in the development of technical training programs and conducts user training.
- Reviews enhancements and projects after implementation to ensure compliance to specifications, and cost-effectiveness.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED INCLUDES:
- Requires BS/BA degree/diploma or equivalent experience.
- 2 to 3 years experience with demonstrated technical expertise.
- Requires knowledge of business operations and systems.
- Requires strong communication skills
- Demonstrated aptitude towards problem identification, resolution and comprehension and interpretation of technical procedures.
- UML and Use Case experience
- Knowledge of SQL
