Business Systems Analyst

Business Systems Analysts study the overall business and information needs of an organization, in order to develop solutions to business and related technology problems.A business Systems Analyst's role is usually undertaken prior to the system design, building and programming stages of the systems development process. Works closely with clients to identify business needs and the costs and benefits of implementing a computing solution. Construct IT definitions based on identified needs of the organization. Work with other IT experts to address networking and hardware needs. Devise and document a general system design based on the client's anticipated requirements. Negotiate options with the client.

Minimum number of years of experience required

Total of 3-5 years, to include two or more years in a consulting role.

TOP 3 - 5 DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts and/or participates in the analysis of client business processes/objectives leading to the creation of functional/non-functional requirements.
Uses professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a wide range of difficult problems in imaginative and practical ways.
Understand their functional area business processes and assigned area.
Independently initiates, investigates, documents, and analyzes client requirements in project areas such as: new/existing business operating models with innovative approaches to solutions support, market research of emerging or available product functionality and operational readiness assessment.
Assesses scope and impact of client business needs.

TOP 3 - 5 REQUIRED SKILLS

Experience in identifying and documenting cross-functional and/or cross-divisional, functional requirements, workflow, information sources and distribution paths, and system/process specifications.
Bachelors Degree in Business/Health Care Administration or related discipline. Four years additional relevant work experience (beyond the minimum experience) may substitute for the Bachelors Degree.
Experience in working with a multitude of SDLC delivery methodologies; Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall.
Total of 3 or more years, to include two or more years in a consulting role.
