Business Systems Analyst

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic individual capable of filling this opportunity to work within the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities information technology team. This individual will work closely with the Business to analyze /implement solutions to accommodate their systems requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage US clearing IT projects
* Work closely with business, analyse, design and implement IT solutions to support ongoing business operations, utilizing existing systems and infrastructure
* Provide business analysis and guidance for developers to fix problems and develop new functionalities to support the increasing business requirements
* Act as IT representative communicating with external parties such as Exchanges, vendors and clients
* Provide ad-hoc reports using SQL and small Java/Shell Script development for us business as required
* Provide 3rd level support if required
* Provide guidance and assistance to IT operation team, as needed

Technical skills:

* Strong knowledge of futures or clearing business
* Strong knowledge of data processing and operations of IT systems in futures
* Skills in business analysis to convert business needs to IT requirements and identify proper technology
* Good communication skills, fluent in both business and IT terminology
* Strong relational database experience (DB2, MS SQL Server, Sybase)
* Understand Java and J2EE technology and ability to read Java code (familiarity with J2EE components and frameworks such as Struts and Spring and Hibernate a plus)
* Unix and shell scripting
* Experience with electronic trading platforms and market data
* Previous experience dealing with exchanges and/or vendors a plus
