Business Systems Analyst

For this contract position with the leading computer components brand, you will be requirements gathering, analysing the feasibility of the issue tracking database currently in use, and migrating to a new platform. End result will be used to determine if the new tool is a fit or what functionality needs to be present to move to the new tool and what business processes need to change to support integration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Meet with existing tool users to determine as is of the current tool.
- Document current as is and build requirements document from as is documentation.
- Meet with new tool experts and leverage existing documentation to build documentation.
- Document gaps and work with both teams on gap analysis/closure/feasibility, etc.
- Develop project plan and milestones for execution.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Self-direction/independence once provided with background and list of contacts
- Strong business analyst and system analyst skills including the ability to assess existing/new tool and processes and write clear requirements
- Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to re-state for clarification, listening for what is being said, as well as being able to probe for additional details
- Project management skills including ability to identify risks and gaps
- Microsoft Office skills - Word, PowerPoint, Mail, Lynx
- System navigation skills - regardless of tool type must have the ability to dive into an application and discover
