Business Systems Analyst

BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST ROLE

LOCATION: LAWRENCEVILLE, GA

DURATION: 6-12 MONTHS

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop, test and execute complex SQL Scripts
- Install 3rd party vendor software on Servers
- Execute data loading and data migration activities
- Support software solution from the Back End (typically a systems/technical role)
- Comply with IT architecture and processes
- Perform maintenance on software that resides on Servers to include applying updates, patches, or upgrades
- Analyze/debug server and SQL logs to determine cause of problems with server and/or software
- Participate in Production support to analyze day-to-day Production issues and quickly respond to the problem to minimize impact to the Business, from a 2nd and 3rd Tier perspective.

FUNCTIONAL ANALYST RESPONSIBILITIES

- Analyze business needs, write detailed requirements and generate necessary specifications
- Perform gap analysis on software that the business is using compared to existing business functions and processes
- Create and execute test plans and scripts
- Work in a team environment sharing skills and knowledge with other team members
- Conduct data analyses
- Support software solution from the Front End (typically a BA type role)
- Consults with users to identify current operating procedures, clarify program objectives and identify gaps that need to be addressed.
- Test and implement software that has been purchased or modified, ensuring the software solution meets the needs of the business.
- Account Executive role
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with external vendors providing projects or services utilized by the organization
- Maintain open communication with project team, customers/users, and when applicable, external vendors

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- 3+ years of experience developing scripts using SQL
- 3+ years of experience developing scripts in Windows (batch scripts)
- Support of software solutions installed on Servers using Microsoft Server Operating Systems
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology sector
- Report development using various report development tools
- Working knowledge of relational databases and web application concepts
- Implementing, integrating, and supporting application solutions, particularly web based solutions.
