Business System Analyst

A 3 month contract for a Business System Analyst in Glasgow is on offer for the following job:

* Provide systems, business, process and data analysis services across a range of project workstreams, ensuring that the requirements of all stakeholders are correctly analysed, documented and implemented in information systems.
* Provide a business/ICT interface.

Key Accountabilities:

* Analysis of requirements and gathering of functional changes to design solutions, confirm technical and business suitability and provide recommendations.
* Define and document solutions and changes producing comprehensive specifications aided with structured analysis techniques and methodologies such as process/logical data models/functional hierarchies, etc.
* Ensure system deliveries are in line with business and system requirements.
* Validate understanding and solutions with business representatives and technical team and transfer knowledge to them.
* Drive the delivery of functionality agreed with business representatives by liaising with developers and testers.
* Active involvement in system design ensuring applications are efficient, usable and streamlined taking into account the underlying Business Processes.
* Prompt production of accurate impact assessments including appropriate estimation.
* Ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the system capabilities, constraints and processes.
* Ensure all impacted parties are involved in the definition of the specifications and their sign off process.
* Analysis of issues, finding root cause, agreeing solutions and documenting them, leaving the resolution ready for development or test.
* Highlight dependencies, risks, issues, assumptions and changes to manager.
* Support stakeholders in the UAT and OAT of systems to ensure that requirements are satisfied.
* Revision of business requirements and systems requirements and definition of high level design documents.
* Produce documentation consistent with ICT standards which is fit for purpose and audience.
* Ensure the accuracy and completeness of training material through working with training co-coordinators.
* Keep up to date with emerging technologies in area of expertise.
