Experis are looking to recruit a Business Support Officer for one of their local authority clients.

Duties:

* Carry out a range of business support and administrative tasks including production of regular and ad hoc reports, to ensure an efficient and effective service.

* Using the Council's electronic systems in processing payments, maintaining property records, updating property information systems and spreadsheets, and keeping all cost information in project folders up-to-date

* Assist in preparing tender and contract documents, providing administration support on electronic tenders.

* Create and maintain project and other records using corporate or departmental information systems or spreadsheets to enable, payment monitoring and claims verification.

* Undertake and coordinate projects and reviews within the Maintenance Delivery area of work, as directed the Quantity Surveying Manager or Maintenance Delivery Manager, to support and enhance service delivery

* Develop and promote efficient working practices and support performance monitoring and improvement across the Maintenance Delivery teams. Take responsibility for identifying opportunities and acting on them with service teams or through line management in the Performance Team in order to promote continuous performance improvement within the property service

Skills:

* Ability to work independently and as a part of a team, under pressure with effective time management and self-organisation skills.

* Able to analysis and interpret data with the capacity to devise and implement solutions.

* Have effective written and oral communication skills appropriate to the situation.

* Be able to use information and communications technology.

* Practical experience of working with computerised performance management systems and numerical work, including analysis and the production of charts.

* Experience using applications, particularly report writing tools, spreadsheets, databases and word processing (preferably Business Objects, Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.

3 Month contract.
