Business Solutions Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We seek a talented IT Business Solutions Analyst to participate as a liaison with business users and management, user groups, and IT Business Applications Systems Developers to evaluate and facilitate IT application and business process changes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Facilitate meetings, workshops and communications between IT and the business.
- Participate (or lead) workflow analysis in support of requirements identification and elicitation.
- Capture, analyze and document business and user requirements.
- Develop test plan and use cases.
- Coordinate System Integration Testing.
- Support User Acceptance testing and defect management.
- Potential travel.

SKILLS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline or the equivalent technical training.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of IT development and support processes.
- Initiative.
- Analytical reasoning.
- Customer focus.
- Exceptional oral/written communications skills.
- Candidate must show strong software development life cycle experience in requirements gathering and testing.
- Experience with Customer service applications such as Billing and Credit & Collections is required.
- BSA skills a must.

DESIRED SKILLS:

- Utility business knowledge a plus.
- Experience with Gap Analysis, facilitating JAD sessions, documenting AS IS and TO BE processes, as well as the test experience. Billing experience is a big plus.
- HP Quality Center, billing/utility/customer service application knowledge a plus.
