ROLE OVERVIEW

We are recruiting for a talented Business Services Controller to join Steria. Working onsite with an exciting new client, the successful candidates will take responsibility for the leadership of one or more Business Services Managers with span of responsibility across all aspects of the services delivered to the client with particular emphasis on the recruitment, motivation and leadership of a flexible team of both full and part time staff. These teams will undertake business process workflow activities within a regulated environment, working alongside client resources.

The role holder will need to be able to form a team of entirely new recruits, building and shaping them into a cohesive operational unit, whilst maintaining an open and cooperative relationship with the client, working with them to identify potential improvements to the way the department and overall process works.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- To plan, schedule and manage the defined business services, delivering to agreed timescales, budget, acceptance criteria, quality criteria and contractual commitments.
- To ensure that the service delivery is being managed in accordance with the agreed processes and procedures with regard to:
- Service definition
- Service level management, including reporting
- Documentation, including maintenance of appropriate review documentation and audit trails
- Change control (with both customers and suppliers)
- To report and escalate service issues in an appropriate and timely fashion and initiate timely, corrective action where required.
- To demonstrate a practical approach to continuous improvement of the processes which directly manage the delivery of services.
- To ensure an effective communication process is in place with customer(s), line management, third party suppliers and team members.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Ability to develop excellent working relationships with clients
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work and the ability to re prioritise at short notice.
- Ability to manage team resourcing and staff scheduling in conjunction with Client resources
- Able to recruit and develop new teams of people
- Able to lead, manage and develop large teams
- Strong knowledge of one or more specialist areas of BPO service delivery
- Coaching and mentoring
- Good networking skills
- Able to work collaboratively with Client resources as part of an integrated delivery model.
- Able to influence across all levels of clients business to ensure business needs and overarching strategy are linked.
- Very good ability to use Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Very good presentation skills
- Very strong interpersonal skills

Experience of working in a regulatory environment is desirable.

This role is for an initial one year fixed term contract with the potential to be extended.

The successful candidates will be required to obtain UK security clearance.
