BACKGROUND TO ENGAGEMENT:BUSINESS READINESS LEAD/BUSINESS CHANGE CONSULTANT

My client a leading energy provider has a really exciting opportunity for a well-rounded individual who can communicate at all levels of the business. As part of this team of 16 your understanding and career scope will grow and develop under the leadership of the highly skilled and personable hiring manager. You will be involved in the Smart metering programme. Over the next six years, energy suppliers will be obligated by a new licence condition to deploy Smart Meters to all domestic and SME customers. I will be looking to receive applications from individuals with a real cross set of skills; Business Readiness, Change consultant, Business analyst, Data analyst, Business case modelling, stakeholder and Project management.

SCOPE OF WORK: BUSINESS READINESS LEAD/BUSINESS CHANGE CONSULTANT

Responsibilities: Business readiness lead/Business change consultant

1. The bullet points below reflect the headline activities the consultant will be involved in:

A. Deliver projects within the Head of Customer Operations' portfolio to support mobilising the field, including Marketing and Commercial Projects and other unplanned activities that will arise

B. Undertake activities as required to aid delivery of the Customer Service readiness project including data analysis, preparation of board packs and general support for the Change and Readiness Manager

C. Manage the Back Office commissioning activities for the SMETS1 Itron meter pilot phases 1 through 3

D. Manage the successful transition into the Customer Service Back Office commissioning team should the Itron SMETS1 meter be introduced into live operation e. Manage the Hand Held Unit commissioning CR (CR 632700) through to a successful implementation plan or implementation (whichever is sooner)

2. Strong business acumen and industry knowledge, with an interest and understanding of the trends and direction of the UK Utilities marketplace and My clients position in this marketplace.

3. A persuasive presenter and communicator with the ability to forge strong relationships throughout the company.

4. To be an effective change champion with the ability to work confidently in a variety of business areas, combined with leadership skills demonstrated through hands-on involvement and team management practices.

5. The post holder requires an understanding of Prince2, with an ability to manage medium sized projects, commensurate with managing investigation and analysis activities.
