Business Project Lead

For our banking client based in Zurich we are currently looking for a Business Project Lead/Analyst in Change Management
Location: Zurich
Start Date: 01.09.2014
Duration: 6 months (extension likely)
Languages: English and German
Responsibilities and key tasks
- Lead project teams and all associated project activities including project planning, estimation, execution, tracking, reporting, stakeholder management and communications
- Manage a diverse group of stakeholders across all business functions
- Actively track, report and communicate progress on projects to all stakeholders
- Define, set up and manage STC's and associated project governance
- Define business requirements together with business & IT experts
- Develop business cases for new initiatives in conjunction with all impacted stakeholders
- Vendor management from proposal solicitation to closure
- Resolve conflicts and create a positive working team environment
- Work with the workflow project manager to plan & execute the rollout of a workflow management solution across AM Core Investments
- Work with key stakeholders to analyse options & develop a proposal to establish a hedging function for AM Core Investment seed capital funds
Key Requirements:
- The candidate should have ideally a minimum of 5 years' experience in a business analyst and project manager role in the financial services industry
- Knowledge of workflow management solutions, in particular Oracle
- Candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong delivery track record, good stakeholder management and excellent communication skills
- Project Management or business process analysis certifications nice to have
- Agile project management experience useful
- Exposure in a front or mid-office environment to Funds, Equities, Fixed
Experience:
- Project management experience
- Business process analysis & change, ideally combined with knowledge of workflow solutions
- Ability to clearly communicate business concepts & proposals to senior managers
- Pragmatic, "can-do" attitude and ability to work under tight timelines & cost pressures independently
- Negotiation skills vis-à-vis its stakeholders & vendors
- Planning and organisational skills
- Reliable, analytical and flexible personality with structured and analytical approach
- Knowledge of asset management or hedge funds or portfolio management or trading required
