The National Facilities Services, Business Process Excellence Office (NFS-BPEO) is looking for a credentialed Business Process Consultant with substantial experience in facilitating complex, comprehensive operational, cross-functional, end-to-end business process creation and documentation sessions with senior-level manager and technicians. 

Essential Functions: 
Facilitate comprehensive, end-to-end cross-functional business operations process mapping sessions with SMEs (strong facilitation skills required, but not teambuilding). 
Facilitate the development of future state business process designs and initiatives. 
Provide process documentation using Visio software. 
Recommend process improvements based on info gathered from SMEs. 
Educate stakeholders and SMEs on the identification of possible process improvements to address business challenges. 

Required Experience: 
.*These are the MUST HAVE items. If a candidate does not have these then they will be rejected.* 
Must be experienced in using Rummler-Brache or a comparable operational business process creation & documentation methodology. 
3 years experience in process design, documentation, and implementation. 
Experience facilitating and documenting AS IS and TO BE business processes and related RACIs. 
.*This is NOT an IT/SYSTEMS FOCUSED positions, rather BUSINESS OPERATIONS focused* 
Experience with operational, functional business process creation and NOT the development of system process flows associated with IT projects or ERP installations 
Possess relevant experience with AS IS and TO BE process mapping that includes both facilitating challenging discussions with large groups of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and documenting these process maps using Visio software. 
Candidate must have the demonstrated experience in speaking to large groups and facilitating conversations. 
Candidate must possess the skills for the group to think in a linear/logical process fashion..*this would come from a Corporate Psychology degree/background* 
Process documentation using Visio software, skills are essential. 

Preferred Experience:

Certification in process re-engineering, process improvement, process management, and project management (ie, PMI, CMBOK) 
Certification in group facilitation. 
Management or experience with document repositories. 
Management or experience with policies and procedures. 
Experience with the creation, implementation, and maintenance, and improvement of company Policies & Procedures.
