Business Process Analyst - State Government Dept

A large state government department is looking to appoint an experienced BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYST who will report to the Change Manager, you will be responsible for documenting current and future as-is and to-be business and system processes for large and complex projects and programs.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for, but not limited to;

- Drive the design, documentation and development of business requirements and functional specifications using context diagram and process models
- Convene and facilitate interview workshops as necessary to understand and document the operations across a number of business units and/or agencies
- Review and analyse business processes, re-engineer as necessary to improve efficiency, effectiveness and/or usability using strategic analysis techniques and process models
- Work as an effective team member in investigating and developing options and solutions while providing expert advice on business and system processes

The successful candidate will need to meet the following criteria;

- High level of experience in investigating existing organisation structure and business functions as well as modelling, decomposing and documenting business processes, policies, business rules and controls, performance requirements
- Demonstrated experience in business process models and associated standard operating procedures using tools and techniques such as BPMN, UML, Visio or System Architect
- Extensive experience in the development of instructional and procedural documentation and presentations
- Demonstrated organisational, time management and prioritising skills to ensure deliverables are completed in agreed timeframes ability
