Business Objects Developer
Role Description:
The candidate will be part of Business Objects Platform Management team responsible for operation, configuration and management of several Business Objects Platforms currently available in the BI landscape.
Responsibilities
Manage Business Objects Platform currently in production in the BI landscape
Contribute to building out BI4 Architecture
Build a World Class Enterprise Platform for BI4
Installation, Configuration and Management of a BI4 Enterprise scaled Platform
Contribute to building and executing a migration plan from BO3x Platforms to BI4 Platform
Establish world class support and operations processes
Consulting Business teams with Platform onboarding
Education and Experience Required:
Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Business Objects Security Model Expert
Experience in Mobile BI (Business Objects focus)
5+ years of expert experience with Business Objects Installation and Administration
Deep understanding of Business Objects Technology and all component
Experience of Business Objects Architecture and large scale Enterprise Platform Installations
Experience in defining sustainable processes (onboarding, support, operations control, monitoring) for Enterprise scale BI Platforms.
Background in Enterprise scale Migration between major release versions of Business Objects (BO 3x to BI4)
Hands on development experience with BO SDK (.NET/JAVA)
Familiar with Life Cycle Manager and Subversion
In depth experience with SAP Business Objects roadmap, specifically BI4 Platform experience required.
Java and Java Web Application Server experience (WebLogic and Tomcat)
Strong creative, visual, and written communication skills
Strong DB skills with a focus on Oracle
Background and deep knowledge with Linux/UNIX operating system
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Possess the ability to be a self-driven quick learner with attention to details and quality
Strong English skills
Experience in an agile-development environment
Knowledge of scrum methodologies.
