Business Objects Developer

Purpose of role:
Individuals filling the positions listed are responsible for expert execution in activities performed by Data Requests Management team for the Safety Information Management (SIM) system portfolio. Partners with SIM team members and other business stakeholders to ensure ad-hoc Data Requests for reports are fulfilled with data integrity according to defined requirements and timelines.

Primary Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for collaborating with the SIM team members to support pharmacovigilance reporting within the customized Business Objects environment. This includes working with the Data Request Management Team and business stakeholders to support the development/delivery of ad hoc data requests. Utilize defined procedures and workflow to complete and provide accurate data request deliverables within the specified timelines.

Required Technical Skills.
Degree from a recognized University. Experience with Business Objects report development. Experience with Oracle databases. Experienced and skilled in querying from relational databases and be familiar with query tools (SQL, PL/SQL, Brio, MS Access).. Experience with well-defined System. Life Cycle (SLC) environments. Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Qualifications.
Pharmaceutical Industry, including experience with commercial safety/clinical databases, eg ARGUS, ARISg.. Business analysis skills in the Pharmaceutical or Biomedical industry.. Demonstrated ability to perform a wide variety of business and technical liaison tasks.. Ability to interface/negotiate with both customers and technical support to triage and resolve issues in a multi-application environment.. Detail-oriented to ensure quality of work under minimal supervision and with minimal review.. 2+ years IT working experience is a must.. Exposure to Pharmaceutical data capture and regulatory reporting processes.
