Business Objects Data Model Developer

For our banking client based in Zurich we are currently looking for a Business Objects Data Model (Universe) developer/engineer

As a Business Objects developer you'll be responsible for maintaining the data model supporting an experienced report development team in the Credit Risk reporting team part of the CRO (Chief Risk Officer) business.

You will be responsible for analysing, implementing and deploying changes to the data model that are required for future report development whilst ensuring that existing reports are either not impacted or that a detailed migration plan is produced. The projects are designed to support improved and standardized processes for the Credit Risk organization. * Business Objects Data Model (Universe) developer/engineer
* Work within the IT department to develop the core infrastructure for Business Objects developer
* Maintaining the Universe in Business Objects and where necessary custom database (Oracle) objects eg procedures and logic to support the universe
* Advising the business team in how to use the data model to best effect to deliver the required report changes (please note the split off responsibilities between IT - Universe and data model vs the business department, CRO, who actually develop the reports within this framework)
* Preparing release packages incorporating both IT changes, business applied report changes to infrastructure team for release and deployment
* Working closely with key stakeholders and architecture teams on performance optimization, design reviews, defect analysis & remediation. Ensure that all end of life, version migration issues and ongoing maintenance is planned within the book of work
* Production support including investigation/resolution of production issues
* Playing consultant role as well as development for high profile strategic projects
* Working closely with Business Analysts and key change team/line users
You offer
* 4 years +Relevant experience working as a Consultant /Administrator on a controlled life cycle BO environment
* Strong data modelling skills within a Business Objects and ideally Oracle environment
* Experience managing and supporting business clients utilising the Business Objects framework for user maintained/developed reports
* A firm understanding of Import Wizard and report IDs
* Experience with all phases of the systems development life cycle
* A solid understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and experience working in an IT environment with rigorous change control procedures

Technical or Other Skills:
- Business Object
- JAVA and or .NET woudl be beneficial
