For our client, one of the most recognizable pharmaceutical brands in Switzerland, Swisslinx are looking for a Business Objects Administrator for a challenging new project in Basel.

This is a six month contract starting in February/March 2014 with a strong chance of extension in Basel, Switzerland.

BUSINESS OBJECTS ADMINISTRATOR, PHARMA, ENGLISH (CONTRACT, BASEL)

In your role as Business Objects Administrator, you will work in a project team providing a Global Business Objects 4.x environment for worldwide users.

- Responsible for keeping the Business Objects environments up and running.
- Configuration of Business Objects components/Servers according to best practices.
- Permanent review and sizing of the platform.
- Engineering of new Business Objects major versions (server and client) as well as patches.
- Planning and coordination of platform life cycle with projects running on the platform.
- Tuning of all components of the Business Objects platform.
- Working with application teams/vendors for troubleshooting.
- Support of developers and project teams in process related and technical topics.
- Follow  proper quality assurance procedures.
- Daily monitoring Servers/systems and respond quickly to alerts (triggered by monitoring routines or projects).
- Migrating content between multiple Business Objects environments (Content promotions).

In order to be considered for this position, you will possess the following skills and experience:

- In depth understanding of Business Objects architecture.
- Experience with Business Objects administration and security processes (Windows).
- Experience with all aspects of CMC, CMS and CCM administration, including troubleshooting and tuning.
- Experience on Business Objects Integration with Active Directory, SAP and Single sign on (ie Siteminder).
- Experience in managing Tomcat web-tier applications
- Several years of relevant work experience installing, maintaining and monitoring Business Objects server systems in a clustered environment.
- Experience with migrating reports, universes, Dashboards etc. using UMT and LifeCyle Manager.
- Ability to troubleshoot all kind of problems with Business Objects software such as Explorer, Web Intelligence, Universes, Crystal Reports.
- Preferred Certification: SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence Platform.
- Mastering of Business Objects Developer Tools like WebIntelligence, Dashboard, Crystal Reports, BO Explorer, Universe Designer, Information Design Tool and Lumira.
- SAP Business Warehouse experience is welcome
