Business Manager and Financial Analyst

This opportunity is to work within a market leading technology team in a large investment and asset management company in Central Scotland. To support with financial management and business control across the programme.

The team scope includes;
overseeing the financial planning and tracking for the programme
Producing management reports and analysis
liaising with other key functions in the business to provide transparency on key metrics

Key responsibilities include;
Monitoring and control of the portfolio budget, including regular reporting and analysis and oversight of cost allocation models
Co-ordination and tracking of budget and forecast processes, working with other parts of the organisation to coordinate input and deliverables
Monitoring of tracking of resource plans
Production of regular financial reporting to stakeholders and key functions across the Firm, providing transparency and analysis
Co-ordination of business case analysis and modelling, working with the Infrastructure groups within Technology and Data
Tracking and analysis of savings related to system decommission schedule
Responding to ad hoc queries from senior management

Key skills required;

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably gained from a Technology field and/or financial services industry.
Background in managing Technology spend in both application development and infrastructure.
Understanding of internal billingstrong commitment to high quality standards.
Excellent time management skills, ability to efficiently prioritise and multitask, and work under pressure to meet deadlines and team objectives.
Proven ability to influence and challenge status-quo, improve processes and drive results.
Independent & creative problem solving.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, comfortable working with large amounts of data.
Strong team spirit and relationship management skills, customer focused.
Previous exposure to core forecast, budget and financial reporting processes.
